It is made up of six buildings from the seventeenth century, which preserve the original facades and their old interior slabs. One of them was once the headquarters of the emblematic Oliveira Bordados Enmaderienses factory, while the other belonged to the Blandy's family, pioneers of the Madeira wine trade. Thus, in its interiors we find references to the embroidery and traditional wicker basketry of the island, as well as other typical materials that give an authentic and local character to a hotel made by and for Madeira.
