General Terms and Conditions my Barceló

    


my Barceló is the international loyalty programme of Barceló Hotel Group, open and free, aimed at rewarding the loyalty of private and independent customers who book at Barcelo.com and Call Center through benefits of high perceived value, content and communications that will improve their experience Barceló before, during and after their stay.Access to the my Barceló Programme and carrying out operations through the Barcelo.com website and the Barceló Hotel Group telephone booking service implies acceptance of the following conditions of use:- acceptance of the privacy policy of the Barceló Hotel Group website in order to restrict access through the www.barcelo.com website, to confidential information relating to the my Barceló Programme account, in such a way that it can only be known by or with the consent of the account holder, it will require the prior introduction of personal data (name, surname, telephone number, date of birth, residential address), a unique and personal e-mail address, as well as a password. In the event of forgetting the password, the customer can request that it be forwarded to the email address indicated as the user. To do this, you have to go to the www.barcelo.com website. try to access the my Barceló area and click on the option: "Have you forgotten your e-mail address or password?" - the customer will be responsible for the custody of the chosen password. Barceló Hotel Group shall not be liable for the consequences of the possible illegitimate use, by a third party, of the client's access password.

1. Purpose

The my Barceló Programme is based on customers obtaining exclusive advantages by registering in the programme and making reservations on Barcelo.com and/or customer service, identifying themselves as a my Barceló customer.

2. Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of the my Barceló Programme (hereinafter "the holder") are individuals of legal age (identified by their personal data) registered in the my Barceló Programme through the website www.barcelo.com. or from Barceló customer service.

In order to benefit from the exclusive advantages of my Barceló, it is necessary that the account holder of the Programme makes the reservations, after logging into my Barceló.

In the event that Barceló Hotel Group detects that a legal entity is the holder of a my Barceló account and that reservations have been made through this account for third parties, Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to apply the rate without the discount and to terminate its participation in the my Barceló Programme, in accordance with point 2 of section '9. Modifications' of the general conditions.

Reservations made by persons other than the Cardholder will not accrue to the Cardholder's my Barceló account. 

The my Barceló client as the reservation holder and guest during the corresponding stay is the only person who can benefit from the exclusive advantages of the programme and to whom all communications will be addressed. In the case of a booking of multiple rooms, the advantages will apply only and exclusively to the room in which the Account Holder is staying, not applying to the others the rooms included in the booking.

Payment of booking invoices will be made via the credit card included in the booking process. In the event that it is not a prepayment, the payment of the remaining amount will be required from the guest at the hotel.

3. The Account

Each customer who participates in the my Barceló Programme will be able to access a private area within Barcelo.com where the corresponding movements of bookings made on Barceló.com will be reflected. and in customer service in the last 3 years:

1. The account will always be in a registered status as long as the customer does not decide to unsubscribe from the programme.

2. The customer may, at any time, request and obtain voluntary cancellation within the personalised area.

3. Booking movements generated by one customer may not be transferred to another customer's account.

4. Transactions

Bookings start to be credited to the my Barceló account once the customer has registered in the Programme.
Only my Barceló bookings made by the Account Holder my Barceló through Barcelo.com and/or customer service, after logging in or identifying themselves at my Barceló, after enjoying the corresponding stay (day after check-out) in a period of 24 months and from 26 March 2015 (all bookings prior to this date will not be counted for the calculation of the level) will be automatically accumulated for the calculation of the level and application of benefits .

If a booking has been generated without prior login or identification in my Barceló, the my Barceló benefits will not be applied during the stay and will not be automatically taken into account in the Programme account for level calculation. Even so, the registered customer can import into his my Barceló account by importing reservations, taking into account the following specifications:


- Only bookings made in Barceló.com will be imported and the customer service department at Barceló, with check-out within the last 12 months.
- The reservation must belong to a hotel in the current Barceló Hotel Group hotel portfolio.
- The email of the Holder of the reservation must be the same as the email of the Holder of the my Barceló account to which you wish to import.
- Flight plus hotel package bookings and bookings made on other websites, travel agencies or other means other than Barceló.com and Barceló customer service cannot be imported into your my Barceló account.

- Considerations with respect to bookings posted to the my Barceló account:

- In case of two or more bookings with consecutive dates in the same hotel (check-out of one booking = check-in of the next one), only one booking will be taken into account in the Programme. However, the total amount spent at the counter level of the amount accumulated in the Programme will be taken into account.

- In the event that two or more bookings are made under the Account Holder's account with the same date at the same hotel, only one booking will be taken into account at the level of the Stay Counter in the Programme. However, the total amount spent at the counter level of the amount accumulated in the Programme will be taken into account.

- In the event of making two or more bookings under the Account Holder's account with coinciding days in different hotels, only 1 booking will be taken into account at the level of the stay counter in the Programme. However, the total amount spent at the counter level of the amount accumulated in the Programme will be taken into account.

5. Communications

Barceló Hotel Group will periodically send exclusive personalised offers to all clients of the my Barceló Programme with the periodical conditions in force.

6. Levels

There are currently 3 levels of my Barceló customers (in force since 2 July 2015):

my Barceló: this is the base level that applies to a customer after registration on my Barceló and during their first and second booking through Barcelo.com and/or customer service. After the 2nd stay within a period of 24 months, the my Barceló customer upgrades to my Barceló Intense. A minimum cumulative spend of €600 is required to apply the my Barceló Intense upgrade.
my Barceló Intense: this is the intermediate level that applies to a my Barceló customer after the 2nd stay enjoyed within a 24-month period (with a minimum cumulative spend of €600) and during their third and fourth booking on Barcelo.com and/or customer service. After the 4th stay within a 24-month period, the my Barceló Intense customer upgrades to my Barceló Unique. A minimum cumulative spend of €2,000 is required to apply the Intense to Unique level upgrade.
my Barceló Unique: this is the top level that applies to a my Barceló customer after the 4th stay enjoyed within a period of 24 months (with a minimum accumulated spend of €2,000) and from their fifth booking on Barcelo.com and/or customer service.

The my Barceló level is calculated on the basis of stays enjoyed corresponding to Barcelo.com and/or customer service bookings and accumulated over a period of 24 months* as of 26 March 2015 (all bookings prior to this date will not be counted towards the level computation).

 

It also applies as an additional criterion and requirement for the application of the level increase the minimum expenditure accumulated since that same date.

Barceló Hotel Group offers its my Barceló customers from 2 July 2015 to all customers of the my Barceló Programme and depending on their level in the programme a complete package of advantages with additional benefits to the reward scheme just described.

The benefits corresponding to the my Barceló level are automatically applied in step 2 of the booking process on Barcelo.com, provided that the reservation is made by logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló benefits package applies per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. Benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account holder is staying.


Application of benefits:

In order to enjoy the my Barceló discount on bookings at Barcelo.com (discount for accumulation of stays) and the my Barceló benefits during the stay, it is necessary to log in to the my Barceló area in step 1 (room selection) of the Barcelo.com booking process or identify yourself as a my Barceló customer in the event that the booking made is through the customer service. If the booking is made via Barcelo, the benefits corresponding to the Booking Holder's my Barceló level will be automatically applied in step 2 of the Barcelo.com booking process, provided that the reservation is made by logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló benefits package applies per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. Benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account holder is staying.

8. Hotels

my Barceló, as Barceló Hotel Group's international Loyalty Programme, applies to all Barceló Hotel Group hotels in Europe, Latin America / Caribbean and Africa, except at Novo Resort The Residence Luxury Apartments by Barceló (Cádiz, Spain), Cuba (Caribbean) and hotels affiliated to the Dorint chain. The my Barceló benefits do not apply to bookings made at these hotels, nor do these bookings accrue to the Cardholder's my Barceló account for the purposes of calculating the Programme level.


Although the my Barceló benefits are global, they may be subject to minor adaptations and/or customisations, as well as exceptions in their application, depending on the reality of each hotel.

9. Modifications

1. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to modify, partially or totally, these General Conditions. The customer will be able to know their updated benefits at all times on this page.

2. Barceló Hotel Group may terminate the participation of a cardholder in the my Barceló Programme with immediate effect when the cardholder breaches these General Terms and Conditions or when fraudulent use of the account is detected. It is considered fraudulent use of the account to make reservations under the account of a my Barceló Cardholder for other persons who are not Cardholders, so that they may benefit from the conditions of the Programme, without the Cardholder himself/herself staying in these stays. In addition, if an individual who is not a cardholder presents himself/herself at the hotel, Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to apply the rate without the discount applied for belonging to the programme.


3. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to periodically evaluate the activity and commitment of the Cardholders in the my Barceló Programme. In the event that a customer has not made any bookings in a continuous period of 24 months, this could result in a downgrade to the next lower level. Before making the downgrade, the Owner will be informed, providing the opportunity to reactivate their commitment to the programme.

4. The holder can change their personal data or unsubscribe from the Programme from the private area of my Barceló at Barcelo.com. You can also unsubscribe from communications by using the link provided for this purpose in the newsletters sent by Barcelo Hotel Group. 

5. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to modify or cancel in whole or in part and without prior notice these Special Conditions, or any other aspect related to the programme or the participation of the Holders in it.
