CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES: ALBAN GERHARDT AND STEVEN OSBORNE

The Santa Catalina Classics festival will host two of the most prominent artists on the classical music scene worldwide as part of its Chamber Music Series: cellist Alban Gerhardt and pianist Steven Osborne. With a reputable career as soloists, their chamber music project has been well received by the public and specialised critics. On this occasion they will be performing a demanding repertoire, including works by Ravel, De Falla, Schumann and Brahms, with the well-known Suite Populaire Espagñole as a highlight.
YOUNG TALENTS SERIES: KIRAN ROSSELLÓ

As part of the Young Talents Series, Santa Catalina Classics festival features violinist Kiran Rosselló, a Barceló Foundation scholar. In an exercise of virtuosity devoted to a romantic repertoire, the young Mallorcan will perform some of the most challenging works by Sarasate, Grieg and Debussy, which will be topped off with the famous Third Sonata, by Johannes Brahms.

String Quartet and Piano Recital
The second concert programmed for the Chamber Music Series of the Santa Catalina Classics festival presents the music of a string quartet, featuring one of the most representative groups of the moment: the Alinde Quartett. The quartet, specialised in the work of Franz Schubert, will be performing a romantic repertoire along with the pianist Dimitry Ablogin, playing pieces by Schubert, Schumann and Schnitke.
